2024 Q4
This document will be updated throughout Q4 as new features and improvements are released.
We’re excited to announce the launch of a new data region in Central US, alongside our existing Norway East region. Customers can now select the Central US region when setting up new instances. This offers enhanced performance with lower latency for users in the Americas and supports compliance with regional data residency requirements.
The "Company" field is now optional within the system dimension. This change aligns with our philosophy of prioritising simplicity by reducing reliance on unnecessary fields and models.
For all customers, validations against the CompanyKey field have been removed:
- New Instances: These will no longer feature a Company dimension or a dedicated company page in the portal.
- Existing Customers: Those using the Company dimension can continue without any changes.
Customers who previously used placeholder values in the CompanyKey field can now opt out of this dimension altogether by contacting our support team.
Firewall rules can now include descriptions, making it easier to understand and manage each rule's purpose at a glance.
Descriptions are available for customers using the Elastic Pool architecture. Customers on the Single Database architecture can contact support if they wish to migrate to Elastic Pool.
An integrated feedback form has been added to the portal, enabling you to share your thoughts and suggest new features directly within the platform.
Sparklines are now available in the Planning Visual, allowing you to view compact, inline trend charts for key metrics. This feature provides a quick and clear view of metric trends over time, helping you to spot patterns and make informed decisions.
You can now customize the value displayed for groupings by customizing the display fields. This can either be a field or a calculation and enables you to create rich labels without defining new columns.
It’s now possible to add individual comments to aggregated rows, rather than applying the same comment across all underlying rows. This feature enables richer context and more specific notes on summarised data.
